This can often be the decider between how much you’ll pay, and providing your budget can stretch, it’s worth paying for a good conversion that feels well done and built to last. However, when selecting a campervan, make sure it’s got all the features you need and try not to splash out on a van with features you’re unlikely to ever use. Crucially, you need to also consider how many occupants need sleeping space, as this is a quick way of deciding if a campervan or motorhome is fit for purpose or not. After this, you should do all the key checks that you normally do on any vehicle – looking at the mechanical bits, look out for any signs of bodywork damage and check all equipment on the vehicle works as it should. Due to the number of things that could go wrong with a campervan/motorhome, it’s worth having it mechanically and visually inspected by an expert before buying.
